Un-available light photography is a game. Shoot with no light and no tripod. Push ISO as far as needed, underexpose if necessary.. then remove noise if you can and adjust levels. No silly PS tricks, please. Obviously you should not expect high quality images, but I like some of them.
This is a bulb switched off, the room was almost dark. I used a sigma macro 180, 3.5, fully opened, and a D70 at ISO 1600, underexposed 1 stop. Exposure time was 2/3 of a second.
The light at the filaments probably is a reflection. Or maybe they were still worm ?
